40 Reasons to Attend The Fall Woman's Show

After 40 years of the Calgary Woman’s Show, we’re set to make this year’s show the best one yet. There’s so many reasons to attend, but we’ve compiled our top 40, one for each year. Here’s the first 10, we’ll see you next time with 10 more.

1. The Fashion. Heading into fall, we’re all thinking of getting a couple new pieces to fill out our closet and welcome the new season. We have a fashion stage displaying some of the top trends of the season from exhibitors like Sassy and Classy, Expressions Consignment, Lemons and Steel, Nygard, Brax and Charlie, Pink Liberty and Northern Reflections. The best part is, you’ll be able to find all the clothes from the runway, somewhere on the show floor!
   
   
2. The Price. 40 years is a long time, and we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the support from the Calgary community. So, we thought it was time to give back to all of you and wave the admission fee for this fall’s show. (Entry is FREE!)
   
   
3. The Charity. Every year we choose a charity of choice to be featured at our show. This year, the Calgary Women’s Centre is our Charity of Choice. We look for community organizations that are championing women’s causes when we choose our Charity of Choice, and the Women’s Centre’s by women, for women, with women approach is something we could definitely stand behind.
   
   
4. The Royalty. No, not Harry and Meghan, or Will and Kate. We’re talking about the Stampede Royalty. As we focus on highlighting locals, we wanted to have them included in the show and give you all a chance to meet the latest Calgary royalty while you’re browsing the aisles.
   
   
5. The Cars. When you’re scoping out new cars, it’s easier if they’re all in one place. So, while you may not be able to buy your new set of wheels at our sh40-Reasonsow. You will be able to check out the latest and greatest from dealerships like Alberta Chrysler!
   
   
6. The Coffee. You haven’t had coffee like this before, we’re bringing in Crickle Creek Coffee to change everything you thought you knew about coffee. The fresh roasted beans would also make the perfect gift for the coffee lover in your life!
   
   
7. The Locals. We wanted to do more than just offer free admission to the show. To keep giving back to Calgary, we’ll be highlighting charities and organizations that provide outstanding support to our city. Stay tuned for some exciting guest announcements!
   
   
8. The Art. It may feel a bit early to start thinking about Christmas gifts right now, but by the time the doors open October 20 and 21 you’ll be more than ready. We'll have gifts for all those who matter most, no matter their artistic tastes with Avenida Art Gallery and Under the Sun bringing their stunning work, just for you!
   
   
9. The Food. Start preparing your taste buds now, because we're bringing you some incredible food vendors this show (EIGHT are new)! Whether you've come hungry and are looking to fill your belly, or you want some yummy dinners for the week to come, the foodies at Pinched Pierogies, 2 Broke Gals Soup Company, Qspice and all the other incredible chefs have what you need to spice up your kitchen!
